Made in Guam: Local Jerk

Every month, The Guam Guide shines a light on the island's creativity and craftsmanship in our "Made in Guam" feature. Discover unique finds, support local businesses, and take home a piece of Guam's spirit, all while supporting products that meet the high standards of the Guam Product Seal.

In 2015, Local Jerk, a locally and veteran owned small business, started when Marvin and Christina's (owners) daughter needed to raise money for a college tour trip. They started with making dinanche and selling it out of coolers for $10 along with beef jerky packed in Ziploc bags. They began selling at night markets, bazaars, and festivals. After 3 years of making its way into people's mouths and hearts, Local Jerk was officially born and made its way into stores. You can find their products in Pay-Less Supermarkets, Cost-U-Less, and other various locations or you can order their products directly from their website www.localjerkguam.com. From produce to packaging, all Local Jerk products are 100% sourced locally making their products 100% made in Guam. Their peppers are grown on their family farm, and they try their best to work with local farmers to supply the freshest ingredients for their products.
