Carmen Quintanilla, owner of Ester & Alkali, established her business born from her passion for creating with her hands and her desire to offer something meaningful to her family and the island community. She handcrafts all-natural soaps and skincare products in small batches, using only plant-based ingredients and sourcing locally as much as possible.
Ester & Alkali’s mission is to provide self-care through pure, nourishing products while offering a sustainable alternative to commercial store-bought soap. The inspiration behind the business is the belief that simpler, purer soap crafted from ingredients found in nature can make a significant difference.
The main product is soap bars, but Ester & Alkali also offers a variety of all-natural body scrubs, healing salves, lip balms, and body oils. Additionally, they conduct DIY workshops, sharing their passion and knowledge with others who wish to create their own natural skincare products.
Ester & Alkali’s products are available for purchase at any of their pop-ups or in-store at Numa’lo Refillery in the Chamorro Village, Unit 139-140. For those who can’t make it to the store, they offer free delivery through personal messages on their social media pages. International shipping is also available.
