POV: A SUPER AMERICAN CIRCUS EXPERIENCE

POV: A SUPER AMERICAN CIRCUS EXPERIENCE

As a kid growing up on Guam, the idea of a circus was just a fantasy—something I had only seen in movies - acrobats soaring through the air, clowns tumbling across the ring, and the roar of an excited crowd. I never thought I’d experience it in real life.

But when I was eight years old, the circus came to town—Mungi Town (the village of Mangilao), to be exact—and my grandmother gifted my younger brother and me an experience we would never forget.

It was everything. High-flying acrobats twisting through the air, jugglers defying gravity, daring balancing acts, and, of course, the clowns—hilarious, unpredictable, and larger than life. I was completely mesmerized, taking in every unexpected moment.

I thought I’d never feel that same sense of wonder again.

Until now.

Twenty-two years later, that same rush of excitement surged through me—the kind that makes your heart race, your eyes widen, and your inner child come alive. The warm scent of buttery popcorn and gooey nacho cheese filled the air. The arena buzzed with anticipation—people shifting in their seats, murmurs growing louder as the minutes ticked down. Then—darkness.

The lights go out.

The Super American Circus is about to begin.

Cue the fanfare! The cast bursts into the arena like a full-blown fiesta, setting the tone for an unforgettable night. What follows is 90 minutes of pure exhilaration—gravity-defying stunts, mesmerizing aerial acrobatics, and a few surprises that will leave you questioning reality. If I had to sum it up in just two words? Jaw. Dropping.

The show flows seamlessly, a testament to the incredible talent and professionalism of the performers. And without spoiling anything, let me just say—there were so many moments where I found myself thinking, “Wait… is this part of the show?” Followed immediately by, “There’s NO WAY this is part of the show!” And yet, every time, it was.

The thrill of a rollercoaster. The joy of a home-cooked meal. The magic of childhood wonder—all packed into a 90-minute spectacle. This isn’t just a show; it’s an experience.

And the best part? You don’t have to miss it.

The Super American Circus runs nightly at 7:30 PM (except Wednesdays) at PIC Guam. Whether you’re looking for a family outing, a date night, or even a solo adventure, this is the place to be.

Trust me—you’ll leave feeling like a kid again.
