In the heart of the Pacific, the United States territory of Guam is home to sought-after attraction spots, from its exquisite beaches to its lush highlands.
As the largest island in the Marianas and Micronesia, Guam makes it easy for tourists and locals alike to go “around the island” in just a day, taking in some of its most beautiful sights along the way.
As you kick off your day trip itinerary, start by getting to know the island's roots with your first stop at The Guam Museum!
The Guam Museum
The Guam Museum is located in the island’s capital of Hagåtña. Your eyes will first land on intriguing artifacts, from stone tools and scripts to boats and weaponry, followed by a detailed timeline of Guam's history, from colonization to becoming a U.S. territory.
The museum also features an oceanic exhibit showcasing the species found in and around the island, including the rare creatures in the Mariana Trench like anglerfish, bristlemouth, viperfish, and hatchetfish.
For little ones, the museum also offers a “Neni Corner” — a dedicated space for children to explore and get creative.
Fish Eye Marine Park
After familiarizing yourself with Guam's culture and history, head south to the Fish Eye Marine Park in Piti.
Before entering the observatory, stroll around the park’s deck, and take in the majestic view of the deep blue sea and marine life near the surface.
At the end of the boardwalk, friendly staff will guide you down the observatory, where you can enjoy circling and looking through the undersea.
Be sure to check out the nearby “food station” to see the fishes gather to eat!
Inarajan Natural Pool
Thinking of taking a plunge in the middle of the day? Bring some swimwear because the Inarajan Natural Pool is certainly the place to cool off!
The Inarajan Natural Pool is located in Guam’s southern village of Inalåhan wherein people can swim in the saltwater directly from the ocean and at the same time have a feast, as picnic groves are provided in the area.
Guam Veterans Memorial Park
Taking a breather from the sea, and go on a 20-minute drive from Inarajan Natural Pool to Guam Veterans Memorial Park in Humåtak. Surrounded by mountains, this memorial site commemorates the island’s fallen heroes during Vietnam War.
Two Lovers Point

The best way to cap off your adventure is to head back up north to Two Lovers Point in Tamuning. Enjoy a moment of tranquility with a view of Tumon Bay and Philippine Sea.
In local legend, Two Lovers Point is known for a folktale about the forbidden romance between two lovers who tied their hair together and leapt from the cliff — a powerful symbol of love and defiance against the society for wanting to tear them apart.

Whether you’re a tourist or a local looking for a quick escape, there’s nothing quite like spending a day exploring Guam’s natural beauty, rich culture, and timeless legends — all in one unforgettable island loop.
