SNIP Community Clinic

SNIP Community Clinic

SNIP Clinic January 21st to 24th & 27th to 29th

The Department of Agriculture (DOAG) and GAIN Spay & Neuter Island Pets (SNIP) Program will be kicking off the new year with their seventh community service event, performing spay and neuter surgeries for our island’s dogs and cats.

The honorable Mayor Robert Hoffman will host the SNIP community event at his Sinajana office, January 21st through the 29th. This community clinic will feature SNIP's two high quality, high volume spay neuter (HQHVSN) surgeons, Dr. Mariana Turner and Dr. Brenda Smith, as well as veteran visiting volunteer HQHVSN veterinarian, Dr. Gabrielle Finley-Vaquera from California.

Surgeries will be by appointment only and cost $50. Dogs and cats are welcome at this event and residents are encouraged to bring their own carrier for housing of their pet. Rabies vaccinations and Elizabethan collars, or cones, will also be available for an additional cost. Residents who receive SNAP benefits qualify for the SPPC surgery sponsorship program to cover the cost of the surgery. Residents simply present their SNAP/EBT card at registration.

“The SNIP program remains steadfast in its commitment to providing essential low cost spay and neuter services to the community. This program is a step towards reducing overpopulation and ensuring every animal has the chance for a healthier, happier life by reducing the number of unwanted litters of puppies and kittens that roam the villages,” states Department of Agriculture Territorial Veterinarian, Dr. Mariana Turner.
