Guam is glowing for the holidays, and you won’t want to miss any of it! Although we may not have a white Christmas, our festive spirit is strong. We’re rounding up the best spots with holiday displays and lights where you can get your cute family photo op, a cozy date night or want to cruise around the island and feel the holiday cheer.
We’ll be updating this list throughout the season as more places light up, so check back often!
Guam Holiday Illumination
🗓️ Dec. 10, 2025 – Jan. 6, 2026
Every year, Guam lights up from Tumon to Hagatna, with island-wide illumination brought to you by the Guam Visitors Bureau. This year's theme is "Hafa Adai Holidays: Christmas in Paradise." The displays brings Christmas magic to paradise, with palm trees of course. Grab the family, cruise the displays and enjoy the sparkle until January 6, before the lights go out for the season.

Village Parks & Local Light Displays

Guam’s villages bring serious spirit when it comes to lighting up the night. Many local parks host annual ceremonies complete with lights, music, and sometimes even Santa. Check with the Mayor's Council of Guam or follow your village mayor's social pages for the latest. Here's a list of village parks that participate in lighting ceremonies and will have picture-worthy displays:
- Hågat Veterans Memorial Park
- Barrigada Children's Park
- Piti Playground Park
- Skinner Plaza and Latte Stone Park, Hagåtña
- Triangle Park and Tutuhan Park, Hagåtña
- Mangilao Nightmarket Grounds (next to Santa Teresita Catholic Church)
Malesso’ Coconut Christmas Tree
Now in its 7th year, Malesso’s beloved Coconut Christmas Tree turns hand-painted coconuts into symbols of love, memories, and community. Started by the late Steve Cruz, this unique tradition near the Bell Tower brings families, neighbors, and visitors together to celebrate the season—southern Guam style. It's a uniquely Chamoru twist on holiday cheer—tropical, traditional, and totally Instagrammable.

Festival of Lights
🗓️ Dec. 6-7 • 6:00-PM 9:00 PM
Harvest Baptist Church hosts their annual Festival of Lights, a free, family-friendly event open to the entire island community. The lights stay up after the event, for photo ops.

Holiday Displays at Guam Hotels
Tumon’s major hotels are going all out this year with lobby displays, snow flurries, and sweet-smelling gingerbread villages. If you’re looking to stroll through festive scenes without getting rained on—or want a quick selfie stop between dinner and dessert—these hotels are worth checking out.
Hyatt Regency Guam
It’s not the holidays without Hyatt’s annual Gingerbread Housewarming! This sweet tradition supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation and features a whimsical gingerbread village along with their signature giant Christmas tree.

Hilton Guam Resort & Spa
Hilton's lobby is decked out with the Gingerbread Express—crafted with 150 lbs of flour, 80 lbs of molasses, and a whole lot of holiday spirit. Also new this year is Christmas Island, a heartfelt miniature village by local artist Tony Cruz. The display benefits the Todu Guam Foundation and is rooted in the Chamoru value of inafa’maolek (restoring harmony and caring for one another).

Westin Resort Guam
Yes, it snows in Guam—at least at The Westin! Step into their lobby snow globe and enjoy magical flurries every hour from 10 AM to 10 PM. It’s the perfect place to chill out, snap a snowy selfie, and enjoy live holiday entertainment.

Dusit Hotels
The Dusit Hotels hosted a Christmas tree lighting ceremony on Dec. 1 at the Dusit Beach Resort Guam.
