GROW IN MALOJLOJ TREE PLANTING EVENT

The “GROW IN MALOJLOJ” tree planting event, hosted by the University of Guam Center for Island Sustainability and Sea Grant’s GROW Initiative, is a community-driven effort focused on enhancing Guam’s ecological health through reforestation. Participants join passionate volunteers and G3 representatives in Malojloj to plant native trees, directly contributing to vital watershed restoration, improving biodiversity, and strengthening the island’s natural resilience. It’s an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to engage in hands-on conservation, connect with the environment, and leave a lasting positive impact on Guam’s landscape.

  • Hat and sunscreen 
  • Closed-toe shoes or boots 
  • Comfortable clothing that can get dirty 
  • Insect repellent (optional)
