Where Guam Meets Japan: A Taste of Tradition at Kitchen Ten-Ten

While Japan is just a four-hour flight from Guam, you don’t need to travel far to experience its charm. If you’re craving authentic Japanese cuisine, you can find it at Kitchen Ten-Ten. Enjoy their specialty dishes like ramen, soba, katsu, and gyudon.

Overcoming the Pandemic

Since 2020, Kitchen Ten-Ten has been serving the island of Guam traditional, authentic Japanese cuisine. Opening during the COVID-19 pandemic presented challenges, but their resilience paid off, allowing them to establish a beloved dining spot that showcases their commitment to quality and their passion for bringing a taste of Japan to Guam.

Initially, their focus was on tourism, but they later decided to open Kitchen Ten-Ten as a locally friendly establishment. They chose their current location at The Micronesia Mall Food Court as the best place to serve the community.

Fresh Flavors, Fast Service

Chef Harada, the main chef, has been with the company since it opened in 1998. Right beside him in the kitchen is Chef Shibuya, the executive chef. Both chefs came from Japan, bringing their rich culinary expertise to Guam. They oversee the main kitchen at Kitchen Ten-Ten along with their sister companies, ensuring exceptional quality throughout. Alongside them are chefs Tayo and Segovia, who manage store operations while learning authentic Japanese cooking from chefs Harada and Shibuya.

At Kitchen Ten-Ten, you can expect to enjoy freshly prepared Japanese cuisine. They use locally sourced ingredients to ensure the freshest flavors in every dish. Every dish is prepared daily and made to order, cooked right in front of you in just five minutes! One of their popular dishes is the karaage chicken set – think super crispy chicken paired with steamed rice and fresh miso soup. Yum!

Another crowd favorite is their shoyu ramen, a delightful bowl of noodles in a soy sauce broth, topped with chashu and green onions. It’s the perfect comfort food, especially during Guam’s rainy season. Their affordable menu and convenient location keep customers coming back, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors alike.

Curry Worth the Hype

What truly sets them apart is their curry. This isn’t just any ordinary pre-mixed curry; it’s made with fresh ingredients that take up to three hours to prepare due to the meticulous mixing and grinding process. Their curry sauce is one of their specialties and a dish they are particularly proud of. You can enjoy this flavorful curry with their crispy pork or chicken cutlet.

Kitchen Ten-Ten is gearing up to bring even more excitement to the community! They're on the verge of obtaining a liquor license, which means you'll soon be able to enjoy a fantastic selection of locally flavored beers, perfectly paired with authentic Japanese chasers—all at prices that won't break the bank. Stay tuned for their big news by following them on Instagram @kitchen.tenten

Whether you’re a local or just visiting, make sure to visit Kitchen Ten-Ten at The Micronesia Mall Food Court. Savor authentic Japanese dishes and the warmth of their hospitality.
