Do I need a car on Guam?

Unless you plan on confining your activities to Tumon’s hotel row, you will need transportation. Choose from the following:

  • Rental Cars
  • Scooter Rentals
  • Tour Buses
  • Taxis
  • Trolleys & Shopping Busses

View the Red Trolley route from to/from Micronesia Mall and major hotels. There is no public transport system to speak of. Most visitors use the trolley or taxi, which is more expensive.   View an interactive map of trolley stops.   Read more about transportation on Guam.

Does Guam have brown tree snakes everywhere?

The truth about brown tree snakes is that most residents never see them, much less feel terrorized by their dwindling numbers. The tree snake is a timid and reclusive reptile, content to keep to itself deep in the jungle. In two years on the island, the founders of this website have never seen a live brown tree snake, except in confinement at UnderWater World aquarium in Tumon. Most of the information about brown tree snakes on the web is outdated or exaggerated.
