Advice from the DMV Expert

people standing in line

By Shalyn Allen

Is there anyone besides me that likes to stand in line at the DMV? I don’t think so! No DMV is fun to deal with — the lines are long, the requirements can be confusing and get ready to hand over a chunk of change. The worst possible scenario is standing in those lines just to find out you are missing something and have to come back to do it all over again. Heed my advice and avoid wasting valuable time!

The two most common transactions are renewals and vehicle title/ownership transfers. So before you head out to wait in those lines make sure you take a look at this checklist.

Registration Renewal Checklist

Be sure you have these items before you wait:

  • Registration
  • Insurance
  • Original safety inspection (yearly requirement)

Note: Your situation may be different. This is only for a basic Guam registration renewal.

Basic Transfer Checklist

Be sure you have these items before you wait:

  • Transfer application
  • Signed title
  • Driver’s license
  • Insurance
  • Loan documents (if used)

Note: Your situation may be different. This is only for a basic Guam registration renewal.

Of course you could skip all the headache and head on over to Registration Express and Let us stand in line for you!
