Avenue Steak and Lobster Opens at The Plaza

The Avenue Plaza Bento Guam

The Avenue

Avenue Steak & Lobster, an upscale eatery, opened at The Plaza in Tumon this month and offers a classy dining experience and Japanese-leaning dishes. Propped on the third floor of The Plaza, this new eatery features a large, well-appointed dining area overlooking bustling San Vitores Road. White clothe table service is complemented by an attentive and professional wait staff. It’s a lovely place to dine with a group or an intimate twosome at one of the more private tables overlooking the Palm Café corridor.

While Avenue does offer wine at $900 a bottle, lunch is an affordable affair at around $20 for an entree and drink. Tasty Japanese food is served hot and fresh, from noodles to sushi to tempura. The bento box will not disappoint as a fun and interesting 10-piece set. In classic bento style, there are a variety of elements: fried (tempura), steamed (flounder, cod), broiled (squash), raw (sashimi), simmered (egg custard, miso soup), roasted (pulled beef), fresh (pear, strawberry) and baked (mochi).

The chicken teriyaki is perfectly succulent and is accompanied by grilled pepper, broccoli, potatoes, and carrots. The set also comes with tempura, miso soup, rice, and daikon.

Avenue has an extensive wine and liquor list and a full bar.
